The Sign of The Cross: In the name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Ghost.  Amen.

1.  Purification Prayer of St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi

ALMIGHTY FATHER, we place the Precious Blood of Jesus before our lips, before we pray that all our prayers may be purified before they ascend to Thy divine altar.

2.  Welcome Prayer

O LORD, OUR GOD, our All, we welcome You into our humble dwelling.  We thank You, we honor You and we praise You for Your Infinite humility; because You have deigned to bless our earthly dwelling with Your Divine and Majestic Presence, though we are full of unworthiness and our humble dwelling is inadequate for Your glory.

Bless our family and our home, O Lord, that we may be worthy of Your Love and Your Divine Presence.  May our home be a true nest of Your Divine Love not only for the next seven days of Your visit but for the rest of our pilgrimage on this earth. Grant that we may make Your stay in our home very pleasurable.

Lord, we are Yours and we humbly pray that You will take care of us as Your true possession, now and forever.  Amen.

3.  Prayer for All of Humanity (From the Beginning to the End of the World)

O THOU MOST BELOVED, Most Merciful Lord Jesus Christ, into Thy Holy Almighty Hands we commend ourselves for all eternity, as well as in the Heart of the Most High God of the Eternal Trinity!  We take refuge in the deep Wounds of Thy Most Holy Body.  May Thy Most Holy Body nourish us, Thy Most Precious shed Blood, Fear and Suffering purify us of all our sins and vices!  Oh, Our Dear Lord God, we humbly offer Thy Great Fear and Need to Thy Heavenly Father in expiation for all our sins and debts!  May the terrible blows Thou didst endure plead for us!  May Thy most painful scourging cover our great guilt!  We offer All Thine injustices, deep wounds, great pains and sighs to Thy Heavenly Father for all our neglects.  May Thy Great Love, Oh Dearest Jesus, reconcile us with Thy Divine Justice and with Thee!  Oh, Most Merciful Jesus, may Thy Faultless Judgment be for us the forgiveness of all our sins, known and unknown;  may Thy Holy Footsteps in so much Misery lead and guide us in the way of Thy Divine Justice; may Thy Shameful Denuding make us pure in body and sanctify our souls!  May Thy Bitter Agony, Thy Holy Wounds shield us from our visible and invisible enemies!  May Thy Pierced Hands and Feet lead us to All Good.  Oh Dearest Lord, place us and hide us in Thy Five Most Holy Wounds!  Forget not our poor souls for which Thou didst so agonizingly trembled on the stem of the Holy Cross!  For the sake of all the Martyrdom Thou didst suffer, reconcile us with Thy Divine Justice!  May Thy Most Holy and Bitter Death protect us, and lead us to Eternal Salvation!  May Thy Most Blessed Power and Divine Omnipotence drive away and keep away from us every evil of body and soul!  May Thy Most Holy Wounds, Dearest Jesus, bless and protect us in our death agony from all power of the infernal enemy!  At the hour of our death, may Thy Most Precious Blood erase all our sins before our Beloved Heavenly Father, and let die in us all inclination to sin!  May Thy Most Precious Blood lead us to all Angels and Saints!  We commend and place all our suffering friends and enemies and all deceased persons to and into Thy most Loyal Redeemers Heart!  Oh, Dearest Jesus, give to us all Thine Infinite Merits, the Power and the Blessing of Thy Most Bitter Passion and Death! Oh, Eternal Divinity, Oh, True Humanity of Jesus, Oh, Most Blessed Trinity, protect us now, according to Thy Divine desire and forever! Let Us Pray

O GOD, Who has taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Ghost, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit, we may always be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation.  Grant this through Christ, Our Lord.  Amen.

(The following hymn may be sung in place of the above prayer.)

                                              COME HOLY GHOST

Come Holy Ghost, Creator Blest                         O, Comforter, to Thee we cry

And in our hearts take up Thy Rest                   Thou heavenly gift of God, Most High

Come with Thy grace, and heavenly aid            O Fount of Life and Fire of Love

To fill our hearts which Thou has made             And Sweet Anointing from above

To fill our hearts which Thou has made.            And Sweet Anointing from above.

6.  Divine Will Prayer

THROUGH THE Immaculate Heart of Mary, I enter today/tonight into the Holy Will of God and pray Come Divine will to pray in my prayer, in my name (and the name of those whom we pray for daily) and the name of all souls, for the love, honor and (greater) glory of God, Our Father, in reparation for all sins and for the salvation of souls.  Amen.

7.  Act of Contrition

O MY GOD, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee.  And I confess all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell.  But most all, because I love Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life.  Amen.

8.  Daily Prayer

O LORD, OUR GOD AND FATHER, The Greatest Provider of all our needs in spite of our unworthiness and sinfulness, we come to Thee with humbled and contrite hearts, to beg Your pardon.  Thou art our loving and merciful Father and through the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Only Begotten Son, whose seven last words we recall and meditate on in this novena, we ask Thy mercy and seek forgiveness for our sins.

YOU Will not refuse us Your pardon, for Thy Only Begotten Son has already paid for our sins with His Precious Blood and His earthly life.  For the Holy Spirit has also said:  ....and will forgive sins in the day of tribulation: and He is a protector to all that seek Him in truth.

WE BEG of Thee to enlighten our hearts and minds with Your Holy Spirit that through this devotion to The Lord of Pardon, we will know and love You and Your precepts well; that we may come to the realization of the pain and suffering our sins inflict on Thee, on Our Lord Jesus, The Holy Ghost and on our Blessed Virgin Mother.

WITH YOUR forgiveness, shower us with Your graces that we will resolve not to sin against You anymore, and to live our lives in the manner that is pleasing to You.  We ask this through Christ, Our Lord and through the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mother. Amen.

10.  PRAYERS BEFORE THE ROSARY

St. Louis de Monforts Prayer

We unite ourselves with all the Saints in heaven, and with all the just on earth; we unite ourselves with Thee, Our Jesus, in order to praise Your holy Mother worthily and to praise You in her and by her.  We renounce all the distractions that may come to us while we are praying this rosary.  Amen.

The Last Vision of Fatima Prayer

O Queen of the most holy rosary, Thou has deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children the treasures of grace hidden in the rosary.  Inspire our hearts with a sincere love for this devotion, that by meditating upon the mysteries of our redemption which are recalled in it, we may be enriched.  With its fruits, obtain peace for the world, the conversion of sinners and of Russia and the favor which we ask of you in this rosary.  (MAKE YOUR REQUEST.)  We ask it for the greater glory of God, for your own honor, and for the good of souls, specially our own.  Amen.

The Rosary Proper

I believe in God, the Father the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His Only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.  He descended into hell, the third day He arose again from the dead.  He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God, The Father Almighty.  From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in The Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.  Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  Amen.

Hail Mary! Full of grace! The Lord is with Thee! Blessed art Thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus!  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Glory Be to The Father, and to The Son and to The Holy Ghost!  As it was in the beginning, now and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen.

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee, and I beg pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love Thee.

O Most Sweet Heart of Jesus, lead us unto salvation.  Grant peace to the entire world, specially the United States/Philippines/(Name Your Country).  Bring back to You all sinners and grant that they may find the path that leads to you.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins.  Save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls into heaven, specially those who most need of Thy mercy.

O Blessed Virgin Mother protect us with your most Immaculate Heart.  Amen.

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.  Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.  And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who wander throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen.

FIRST DAY "FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO."  (Lk 23:34)

1.  Meditation

In spite of the indescribable suffering and torments Our Lord Jesus Christ was going through while He was hanging on the cross and at the point of death, His love for us is so great that He even found enough strength to ask Our Eternal Father to forgive us of all our offenses.  Our sins, both omissions and commissions, caused Him these sufferings.  Those soldiers and members of the crowd that inflicted pain on Him were the representation of all our sins.

We have to thank Jesus, the Inexhaustible Fountain of mercy, for this great act of mercy.  In spite of the pain He was going through on the cross, His love for us is so great that He found enough strength to ask Our Eternal Father to forgive us,  and by doing so, He forgave us too.

Let us feel all the pain, the sufferings, the insults and the spittle Jesus meekly received for our salvation.  For only by knowing and feeling what He endured will we realize the gravity of our sins and the injury our sins inflict on Him, the Eternal Father, the Holy Ghost, the Blessed Virgin Mary and to our neighbors.  Let ask God, the grace necessary to fully resolve not to sin again.  But, if we do fall into sin again, because of our weak nature, let us ask Him to give us through the Holy Spirit the understanding that His mercy, forgiveness and love is boundless and is always available for our asking.  Our God will not give up on us, so let us ask Him to grant us the grace of perseverance, of not giving up, in trying to correct our lives that we may be worthy of His eternal salvation.  Let us imitate Our Lords supreme example, let us forgive others as often as God has forgiven us.

We have to thank The Eternal Father, for enduring the bitterness of watching the suffering of His Only Begotten Son.  His love for us is greater than the grief He has to suffer for our salvation.  As a Father to His Only Son, He, by the Omnipotence of His justice, could have easily exterminated all of us, to stop His suffering.  But knowing the eternity of not having His kingdom available to us, His infinite mercy and love for us allowed Him to overcome His Fatherly love for His Only Begotten Son.  As parents ourselves, we must appreciate The Eternal Fathers compassionate choice of suffering this pain for our salvation.  No one could have done what He did, except Him.  We have to thank The Eternal Father for His love and forgiveness.  Let us ask Him for the light of the Holy Ghost, that we may know how to love, adore and serve Him with all our hearts, our minds, our souls and with all our strength; and to always treasure in our hearts His merciful pardon and bountiful love.  We must firmly resolve not to hurt Him anymore nor to cause Him any additional discomfort nor displeasure with our existence.

We have to thank the Holy Ghost for His gifts.  With His gifts, now we know and understand the severity of our sins; the anguish and pain our sins cause our Almighty and Merciful God.  We now also fear committing any offenses that would drive Him away and lose His love for us.  Let us ask Him to grant us the fortitude to fight off temptations and the occasions of sin, that we may not offend Our Loving God anymore; the piety we need to stay within His state of grace; the wisdom to discern and do all that is pleasing to Our Almighty God; and His consolation in times of our distress that we may not be lose heart in amending our lives.  This we should ask through His Spouse, our Blessed Virgin Mother.

We should fully realize that our Blessed Virgin Mother, being the Mother of our Savior too,  suffers also the same suffering.  But we should also realize that His sentiments are also her sentiments; that His forgiveness is also her forgiveness.  We have to beg her to forgive us for all the sufferings she has to endure with her Son, because of our sins.  We have to thank our dearest Mother for bearing the pains of our salvation and for being our ever-caring Mother.

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.   Invocations, etc.

SECOND DAY "AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, THIS DAY THOU SHALT BE WITH ME IN PARADISE." (Lk 23:43)

1.  Meditation

What sweet words of assurance!  Our Lord Jesus Christ, not withstanding the excruciating pain on His whole body, cared enough to listen to the anxious plea of a convicted criminal.  He understood the thiefs concern or fear for his eternal safety but He also realized the sincerity of the thiefs desire to join Him in His kingdom.  He knows the innermost workings of mans hearts and souls. With His compassionate and loving Heart, Jesus granted the thief his request.  What a steal!  This thief, this criminal, literally stole a place in Jesus kingdom right from under Jesus feet!  As always, Jesus is the willing Victim, the Sacrificial Lamb Who is generous to all, with His love, His kingdom; even His life, just so that we may gain His eternal salvation.  What a splendid example of sincerity, contrition and humility this thief must have shown Our Lord; for Our Lord Jesus Christ granted his request without hesitation!

We are no different from this thief, this criminal.  The only difference is that he was con-victed of his offenses in public and, by Gods merciful design, was crucified with Jesus.  Our offenses are many and we have hidden them well. Though most of them are sins of commission, we are also very guilty of omissions that causes The Eternal Father, Our Lord Jesus, The Holy Ghost and Our Blessed Mother a lot of anguish, grief, displeasure and discomfort with our existence.  The beggar we ignored, the unconscious man lying on the ground we nonchalantly passed by, the victims of natural disasters we never cared to help with what we have available, the aged looking for companionship and care, and all those who are in need of help, temporal and spiritual.  Our Lord, our God is all of those people!  This thief acknowledged his sinfulness, but we, oftentimes do not.  We pretend that our omissions never happened or maybe we have become so self-centered and egotistical that we have lost the concern for the well-being of our neighbors.  All we have done is to make our bodies healthy and strong and have satiated the gluttony of our vanities.  Outwardly, we look good but our souls are all wretched with the defilements of sin!

Like the thief, we should beg Gods mercy and pardon!  Let us beg Our Lord to drench us with His Precious Blood and to cleanse us of our defilements that:  we may live our lives in conformance with the will of Our Eternal Father; and we may love others more than we love ourselves, for the love of Jesus, The Eternal Father, The Holy Ghost and Our Blessed Virgin Mother.  Let us ask God, through the Precious Blood of Jesus and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may also have the same sincerity, contrition and humility (that the thief showed Jesus) in confessing our sins, both commission and omission, and in amending our lives.  So that at the end of our earthly exile, we may be worthy of hearing the same words from Jesus, and with the thief, also gain eternal salvation.

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.  Invocations, etc.

THIRD DAY "WOMAN, BEHOLD THY SON.....BEHOLD THY MOTHER." (Jn 19:26-27)

1.  Meditation

We have to thank Our Lord Jesus for giving us His Own Mother for our Mother.  His generosity is never so evident as when He gave us to the care of His Own Mother. How can He be so generous after the soldiers have taken His only earthly possessions His garments, hand sewn and knitted by His Own Mother?  They even cast lots for it!  Let us make His example of generosity and love be our way of life.  We must resolve to love others as we love ourselves for the love of Jesus, The Eternal Father, The Holy Ghost and the Blessed Virgin Mother.

We have to thank The Blessed Virgin Mary for taking us in as her own children, for truly, She is The Mother of The Sorrowful Heart!  Look what we did to Her Son?  Then She gets us -- prodigal children and miserable sinners! We have to thank her for assuming this enormous and overwhelming task of being the Mother of all mankind; considering the fact that we are prodigal children, very troublesome and miserable in our sinfulness.  We are trouble even unto our selves but she was undaunted by this responsibility.  Our dearest Mother has been blessed by Our Almighty God with the greatest abundance of graces and power.  With her power, she can protect us from all evil and from the love of material things that will lead us away from the path of salvation paved by her Sons Precious Blood.  Let us always ask her to provide us with the graces we need in order that we may always love, adore and serve God with our whole being and to be able to propagate devotion to her, as our Mother, Protectress, Mediatrix and Friend in heaven.

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.  Invocations, etc.

FOURTH DAY "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN  ME." (Matt. 27:46 and Mk 15:34)

1.  Meditation

Our Lord Jesus, in His Humanity His expressed His agony, His pain, His frustration, His loneliness, and His longing for moral support from His own Father, Who seemingly has abandoned Him to the wiles of His enemies.  But Our Eternal Father in His Own Heart will never abandon anyone who loves Him and fears Him, especially His Very Own Son.  No!  Lord Jesus!  He did not!  He would not!  He just wants to give us an example of how we have to go through the trials of spiritual aridity those times when our Father seemingly leaves us alone, to be subject to trials and tribulations seemingly without His help.  He want us to experience the same experience that Jesus went through, if we want to gain eternal life with Him in heaven.  But we know that in times of seemingly agonizing loneliness that Our God is more closer to us than before, and His grace is sufficient enough for us.  And God is able to make all grace abound in you; that ye always, having sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8).  Let us ask Our Lord Jesus to grant us the grace of depending on His grace, mercy and love alone and not on our abilities nor talents that He Himself has given us.  May we, by His Precious Blood, always run to Him in all our needs because He will never forsake those who look for Him, since Jesus promised, Those who seek Me, find Me (Prov. 8:17).  ALSO:  ..and know ye that no one hath hoped in the Lord, and hath been confounded. (Ecclesiasticus 2:11).

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.  Invocations, etc.

FIFTH DAY "I THIRST."  (Jn 19:28)

1.  Meditation

It was not for water itself that Our Lord Jesus Christ thirsted for, but for our love and gratitude for His love and sacrifices for us.  Instead of giving Him our cup of love and gratitude, we turned our backs to Him and gave Him the cup full of sourness and bitterness of our sins and ingratitude.  Still, He would not give up.  He persevered in His suffering in spite of our bad attitudes.  We have to ask Our Lord Jesus to forgive us for our lack of concern and love for His love and bitter sufferings.  Let us ask Him to grant us the grace: to always remember His suffering, His sacrifices, His mercy and love for us each time we look at Him on His cross; to resolve never to be the cause of His sufferings again; and to constantly make atonement and sacrifices for our sins and the sins of mankind.  Let us always seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Mother and our Mother, that we may always quench His thirst with our love, adoration and service.  This we do for His greater glory and the greater glory of Our Eternal Father and The Holy Ghost.  Amen.

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.  Invocations, etc.

SIXTH DAY "IT IS CONSUMMATED."  (Jn 19:28)

1.  Meditation

We have to thank Our Lord Jesus Christ for His perseverance and determination.  When they scourged Him by the pillar, the shock alone would have killed anyone.  (The leather whip used to scourge Him was fashioned with metal hooks similar to the ends of a fishing hook. The hooks were designed to bite into the human flesh and tear into it!)  When they hammered down the steely crown of thorns on His head, the injury to His brain should have ended His life.  (He told a holy soul that there were three mortal wounds inflicted by the thorns on His forehead.  The loss of brain fluid would have killed anyone.)  But He was determined to reach Golgotha.  The blows, the wounds, the insults and the spittle along the Via Dolorosa are too numerous to count, but He withstood them all.  He has to fulfill the words of the prophets.  He has to meet the requirements of our salvation.

Who are we to merit such a sacrifice from our own King and Creator?  We, to our neighbors, are nobodies!  But to Him, we are worth more than His human life!  Let us thank Him, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Creator and King!  Let us thank Him for making us realize that our souls are worth more than His own life and all the material treasures of this world.  Inasmuch as our life is worth as much as His sacrifices and death:  then let us value His suffering and death more than any other thing in this life; and to live our lives in conformance with the will of Our Eternal Father, so that we may be worthy to be called by Jesus as His brothers, sisters and mother.  Let us ask Our Lord Jesus, Who was determined to die for us, to grant us the same determination in living a holy life, and to do this for the greater glory of God here on earth and the salvation of souls, specially our own.

2.  Prayer for All of Humanity

3.  Invocations, etc.

SEVENTH DAY "FATHER, INTO THY HANDS I COMMEND MY SPIRIT."  (Lk 23:46)

1.  MEDITATION

Our Lords work of salvation is done.  As the obedient Son of The Eternal Father, He withstood all the pain, the insults and the injury that mankind could heap on Him.  He did not waiver in His obedience to Our Eternal Father.  Let us thank Him for giving us His own life that we, miserable sinners that we are, may gain eternal salvation.  He has shown us the greatest example of obedience to Our Eternal Father, even to the point of death.  Let us, by His example and grace, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, be as obedient to the commands and precepts of Our Eternal Father in order to merit eternal life with Him in His kingdom.

Let us ask The Eternal Father, Who put us in this life for His own specific purpose and pleasure, the grace of the same obedience Our Lord Jesus showed that we may do His will in the manner pleasing to Him.  Let us ask Our Eternal Father to grant us the grace we need to complete the task He has given us in this life.  Let us ask Him to give us the light of The Holy Ghost:  that we may tackle this task and finish it with humility, patience and purity of heart; that when our exile in this world is over, through the Precious Blood of His Only Begotten Son, may He make us worthy of uttering the same words of resignation and confidence in commending our souls into His hands.  We should ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
